The 33rd edition of the Dakar, for the third consecutive year, is held in South America with a path leading from the Atlantic to the Pacific. It starts from Buenos Aires on January 1st, while the finish line in Lima is set for January 15th, the route will pass through 15 stages and three continents, Argentina, Chile and Peru, which will be affected by the passage of the race for the first time in history . From sea to mountain, and more sand, mud and lots and lots of powder for 8,373 km.

In the headquarters of Team BMW Husqvarna Stephanskirchen Bavarian engineers have worked for several months to develop five race bikes capable of winning the Dakar 2012, as the new Husqvarna TE 449 RR Speedbrain by the livery designed by Delineodesign. Five riders who will race the Dakar: David Frétigné French, Portuguese Paulo Goncalves, Spaniard Joan Barreda and the two Brazilians Ze Helio Klaumann and Ike.
